Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, openly displayed anger at a journalist who asked for clarification on the exact date rail transportation service would be restored in the Abuja-Kaduna route.
In response, the Minister told the journalist- “You no dey hear word.”
It would be recalled that the federal government had, for months, suspended service in the Abuja-Kaduna route following the terror attack that left many passengers dead and others abducted.
On Monday however, the Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo announced the resumption in the route by November without mentioning a specific date.
The Minister said- “This month of November, we shall resume that service, remember, I told you, for those of you who are reporters from the State House, that we will not resume this service until every Nigerian held in captivity was reunited with their families.”
But a journalist sought clarification on the specific date the service on the route.
A visibly angry Lai Mohammed then slammed the journalist and said- “You no dey hear word.”
