Despite Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation, the UN has appealed for peace in Bangladesh in the wake of the violent anti-government protests that have taken place there.
DAILY POST reports that Hasina had on Monday resigned and fled the country in the face of massive anti-government protests rocking the country.
The protest which turned violent has reportedly claimed many lives in recent weeks.
