Uhuru Kenyatta to speak at Tinubu’s Inaugural Lecture today

Former Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta will today Saturday, deliver the lead speech as guest speaker at the inaugural lecture preceding the swearing in of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria.

The lecture with the title- Deepening Democracy for Integration and Development begins by 10am at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Several dignitaries from Nigeria and the diplomatic community are expected to attend the programme.

Also today, President Muhammadu Buhari and First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari are to host some selected Nigerian children as part of activities to mark this year’s Childrens Day celebration.

The first family will later host the children to a Dinner Party.

Other programmes lined up between Saturday and Monday as part of activities for the Presidential Inauguration include Inter-dinominational church service at the National Christian Centre, Abuja coming up Sunday as well as Inaugural Dinner/Gala night.

The activities will come to a climax on Monday, May 29 at the Eagle Square Abuja starting from 10am with Inauguration Parade and and swearing in of Senator Bola Tinubu as President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

This would be followed by Post Inauguration luncheon at the State house banquet hall.
