West Ham United is preparing a move for Taiwo Awoniyi, a forward for Nottingham Forest.
According to The Sun, the Hammers want to sign the Nigerian international on loan for the remainder of the season.
A permanent transfer has also been discussed, but Nottingham Forest’s £20 million valuation could be a stumbling block.
West Ham are desperate for attacking reinforcements following injuries to forwards Michail Antonio, Jarrod Bowen, and Niclas Fullkrug.
Awoniyi could be interested in a move to West Ham after playing second fiddle to Chris Wood this season.
The 27-year-old has scored once for Forest in the Premier League this term.
DAILY POST recalls that the striker was linked with a move to West Ham last summer.
