Ernest left Niger Tornadoes following the expiration of his contract with the club.
According to reports, Akwa United and Sunshine Stars have inquired about the availability of the player.
The 20-year-old midfielder grabbed five goals for the Ikon Allah Boys last season.
Ernest is expected to decide on his next move before the start of the new season.
The new NPFL season will commence later in the month.
