As the controversy rages over whether the Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick will go for a third term, the man in the middle has now made his final declaration on the issue.
Pinnick has stated that he will not run for the position of NFF Presidency for the Third term promising to work with whoever succeeds him after the September elections.
Appearing on Arise TV Monday morning, Pinnick said, “I am fine. There are so many Nigerians that are capable of being there (NFF President). I will assist and work with anyone who wins the elections. I will work with whoever emerges as NFF President. That i promise. I will intervene but will not interfere.” Pinnick concluded.
The NFF President had hitherto declared that he would not contest for the NFF presidency after the Super Eagles failed to pick the World Cup ticket but several people doubted him
More so that the NFF had been foot-dragging on scheduling for the NFF Annual General Assembly (AGA) which should set the ball rolling for the Elective Congress.
But, all that seemed to be over now as the Federation has set 18th September 2022 for the AGA in Lagos State.
Finally, date for NFF election revealed.. as Northern caucus disowns Pinnick
