A few hours after he was sworn in as the Executive Governor of Anambra state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo announced his first set of appointments.
Soludo, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, also said he would submit the names of nominee commissioners to the state assembly within one week of his inauguration.
Below are the names of the first three appointees who according to the Governor are to commence work with immediate effect.
1. Hon. Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour): Deputy Chief of Staff/Chief of Protocol.
Hon. Chinedu Nwoye, the newly appointed Deputy Chief of Staff who also doubles as the Chief of Protocol, is the founder of Soludo Support Group, SSG, which is the first organisation to kickstart the mobilisation for Soludo’s 2021 governorship project. He later emerged as the overall coordinator of All Soludo Support Group.
Before the2021 project, Hon. Nwoye worked for Soludo during the 2009/2010 governorship campaign.
2. Prof. Solomon Chukwulobelu:Secretary to the State Government, SSG.
Prof. Solomon Chukwulobelu the new Secretary to the State Government, served in the same capacity under the administration of Soludo’s predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano.
3. Dr. Chukwudi Okoli: Accountant General
Soludo also appointed Dr. Chukwudi Okoli as the Accountant General of the state.
More appointments are expected in due course, apart from the commissioners whose names are to be submitted to the state assembly, according to the Governor.
