A 12-hour curfew will be in place starting on August 1, 2024, in the Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State in an effort to quell growing unrest associated with the ongoing hunger protests.

The curfew, set to run from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, was formally declared by the Keffi Local Government Chairman, Muhammad Baba Shehu.
The decision aims to curb the growing disorder and prevent looting activities perpetrated by unidentified persons.

The curfew imposition followed extensive consultations with security agencies, including the Army and other security operatives, who are fully backing the measure to stabilize the area.
