Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has opened up on his rumoured accident in Abuja on Monday.
The vice president was on his way to Owo, Ondo state, scene of a horrific attack on St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where over 50 worshippers were killed by some gunmen, when news filtered in that his convoy was involved in an accident.
Osinbajo on his verified Facebook page wrote; “Thank you all for the calls and concern, I was not involved in an accident.
“On my way to the airport to travel to Ondo, we ran into an accident scene.
“My security and medical teams assisted in removing the victims of the crash from the scene.They have been transported to the Airforce Base hospital.”
The vice president has since visited the Church and Governor Akeredolu.
