Midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye will face disciplinary action for being sent off in the match against Ikorodu City, according to Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu.
Ogunleye received a red card for his unsportsmanlike action in the Flying Antelopes’ 1-0 win over Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Wednesday.
Ilechukwu said he is saddened by the unprofessional attitude of his player.
“I’m so sad about it. Sometimes, if you are not disciplined, you pay a big price for it,” an angry Ilechukwu stated to the media in Lagos.
“We won’t only leave Ogunleye out; we are going to punish him, we all know the referee’s decision is final, that is what we have been telling the players.”
Rangers will face Remo Stars next in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday.
