Weeks after the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in Kenya, another secessionist agitator, Sunday Igboho have been picked up by Nigerian authorities, this time in Cotonu, Benin Republic
Also known as Sunday Adeyemo, the Yoruba nation promoter was arrested at an airport in Cotonou on Monday night.
Igboho was arrested by the security forces in Benin Republic about three weeks after the Department of State Services declared him wanted for allegedly stockpiling arms, an allegation he has since denied.
Security sources say that Igboho will be repatriated to Nigeria from Benin Republic to face treason charges.
