It was a gathering of the high and the mighty at the Chiesa di san Cipraino church in the city of Rome on Saturday where Elizabeth Chigbolu, third daughter of the board member of the Nigerian Archery Federation, Ambassador Augustine Chigbolu got wedded to her heartthrob, Dr. Martino Longo.
Friends, relatives, business and political associates from Nigeria, UK and America were strongly in attendance to witness the occasion and also celebrate with their brother, friend and associate, Ambassador Chigbolu as he gave out his daughter in marriage.
Nigerian Ambassador to Italy was not left out as he ensured that the Chigbolus got all the support they deserved from the embassy in making the day a very huge success.
Elizabeth is the second daughter of Ambassador Chigbolu who is getting married just in less than a year. Recall that the first daughter, Benedicta Chigbolu who is an Italian Athlete got married just eight months ago.
Elizabeth is a speech therapist, Model and Arts Director. while the husband is a research fellow with the Torino University in Italy.
The joyful and elated father told our correspondent how happy him and his wife, Dr Mrs Paola Chigbolu were seeing their two daughters got married just within eight months interval.
“For me, it just means that the Almighty God never abandons when you believe in him. To God be the glory, two girls married out within 8 months,”
On his advice to the couple, Ambassador Chigbolu said, “They should allow their faith in God to guide their marriage,”
Chigbolu who is also the vice President, Nigeria Entrepreneurs Forum, used to opportunity to thank all those who helped in one way or the other to make the day a success.
“I and my wife are so full of joy for the supports and the show of love we got from everybody. We are so grateful and we are saying a very big thank you to them all.
“I really do not know where to begin in mentioning the names of those who supported us, and those who made their way from the several part of the world to be personally present for the wedding. All we can say also is a very big thank you to them all.
“But, I must particularly say a very big thank you to Prof. O. Obunge and wife Dr.Mrs Elama, my cousin, Mr Patrick Chigbolu who came all the way from London, and the Italian Ambassador to Nigeria, Stefano De Leo who ensured that those that came from Nigeria got their visas seamlessly,”
