Niger Republic to receive free electricity supply from Algeria

Algerian government may have concluded plans to supply Niger Republic with free electricity, according to Mallam Adamu Garba, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain.

It would be recalled that Nigeria had last week imposed some sanctions on the French speaking West African country following a military coup that overthrew the government of of the country.

Among the sanctions is the cut off of electricity supply to Niger Republic.

But speaking via his Twitter handle, Garba stated that Niger had gotten an alternative to its power supply issues.

According to the APC stalwart, Niger will now receive power supply from Algeria.

He wrote, “Algeria is to supply electricity to Niger Republic for free.”
