Nasarawa State chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has condemned the alleged defilement and impregnating of a 15 years old girl by her uncle, Police Inspector.
This is contained in a statement signed by NAWOJ Chairman, Hajiya Hadiza Umar, and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Lafia.
The statement decried the action, describing it as evil, barbaric and inhuman for a man to defile a girl under his protection.
“We will monitor and report proceedings of the court until the culprit is prosecuted,” the statement said.
