National Patriot Summit Unveils First Assembly, Set to Host Stakeholders in December

The National Patriot Summit has unveiled its first assembly of the National Patriots summit which is meant to host critical stakeholders in Nigeria every December.

The Team Lead of the National Patriots Summit, Ambassador Phil Roberts while briefing Journalist added that the summit is an avenue to birth a new page for Nigeria.

According to him, the National Patriot summit is meant to bridge the gap between the government and the people.

“There has been a rise in activities that are detrimental to the purpose of the existence of our nation. The negative activities have lured youths into unpatriotic acts.The issues of insecurity, rise in food products, utility bills, petroleum products have revealed the gap between the government and the governed”.

Speaking further he added that the Vice President of Nigeria, President Yemi Osinbanjo has been at the forefront of the campaign for youths to be more patriotic by volunteering to serve the country in various capacities.

“The Vice President has stirred up the right energies in young Nigerians. Based on his wealth of knowledge, the elders Council of the project has proposed for him to be the special guest at the event.”

The Special Adviser to the Vice President said the summit is an avenue to mobilize youths to develop the right value that will move the country forward.

“We are trying to mobilize over 1million Nigerians in each of the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria. We should seek for ways to serve our country, not where we are seeking for contracts. The good of our country should be paramount in our mind”.

She commended different leaders who have volunteered to serve the country in different capacities.

The representative of DG NOA, Paul Odeycharged the media to curb hate speech and spread only authentic information to the populace.

“People do not trust themselves and the government again. We should try and stop fake news and hate speech in the society.Spreading news that we are not sure of the source is very detrimental to the image of the country”.
