Meet Joshua Beckford, the Youngest Person Admitted into Oxford University At Age Six

0

Here is the story of a real genius who was born with severe handicaps but emerged victorious.

Joshua Beckford is a gifted child from Tottenham Hotspur, England.

Although he is now 15 years old, when he was only 6 years old, he was admitted to a professional course offered by Oxford University for gifted children aged 8 to 18.

Although he was two years younger, his father, Knox Daniel, wrote to the university, hoping that his son would be admitted. Fortunately, they accepted Joshua Jr., which made him the youngest student they accepted.

Joshua Beckford suffers from high-functioning autism.

He has shown superior intelligence and learning ability since he was only 10 months old.

His father noticed that he could recognise the numbers and letters on the keyboard and they are recorded in memory.

He could also read phonetics at the age of three, not to mention that he taught himself fluent Japanese and knew how to type before he could write.

Therefore, it is not surprising that Knox is able to allow his son to participate in courses like Oxford, which can challenge and stimulate the thinking of young Joshua.
