The video of a humble-looking 17-years-old hawker who was singing recently went viral, and it obviously melted the hearts of a lot of people who watched it. After going through all that has happened to Salle within these few days I have learnt a lot. In this article, I would be sharing with you 2 things I have learnt from Salle’s story.

However, she was still able to sing for people who cared to listen. One of the people who Interviewed Salle could be heard saying, “This is the girl I was telling you about”. This statement shows that Salle has actually been singing to people in the past before the video was made. Although she is an hawker, she still showcases her talent, and it has now paid off in the end. There are a lot of people who are talented in a particular thing, but they let their present condition discourage them from showcasing their talent. When a person hides his/her talent because of their condition, then the talent becomes wasted.
2) The power of the social media should not be underestimated: There is a popular saying that goes thus: “Never underestimate the power of social media”. This saying has proven to be true severally, and Salle’s story is just another proof that the saying is indeed a fact. Salle’s video started making rounds on social media after it was shared by several blogs. Celebrities also picked up her video and shared it on their respective social media pages. This obviously helped in making Salle’s voice heard by a larger audience. Her followers on Instagram started to skyrocket, and she started getting encouraging comments from people who loved her voice.Most of those who have commented on her video hopes that she takes her singing to the next level. This is a sign that Salle is already being seen as a star. Social media has helped a lot of people become famous, and there are people who would still become famous through social media. This shows that social media is a powerful tool that can help a person get the recognition he or she desires.
