The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Adamu Abdullahi has said no stone should be left unturned to make sure the party’s candidate, Adegboyega Oyetola wins the governorship elections of Osun State on 16 July, 2022.
Abdulahi made this assertion while Inaugurating the 86 man National Campaign Council team for the Osun State governorship elections at the Party’s National Secretariat on Thursday in Abuja.
He said, “We are here to inaugurate the national campaign council of the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
“I urge you to leave no stone unturned. I urge you to go there and do whatever is doable within the laws of Nigeria and our electoral laws to win.Whatever it takes within the laws of the land, I said go for it, win the election.
According to Adamu, “The challenge, everybody’s arrow is pointing at us, so we must show our capacity to bear the pressure and move out forces forward to victory
“You will recall that just about a week ago, we faced the challenge that was posed by the governorship election of Ekiti state and with God’s own grace, we were able to scale with flying colors. It wasn’t by the divine grace of our Creator mighty God.”
“The next hurdle we have is to confront with all vigor with all strength that we can master the forthcoming Osun governorship election.
“So we must be prepared to face him eyeball to eyeball.
There is no sparing for any reason whatsoever, no sparing his party the PDP. We are going there to win by the grace of God.That plan to win, the ability to execute the plan is with the leadership that this council is going to provide in the campaign efforts,”He said.
In his response, on behalf of the team, Governor of Kano Abdullahi Ganduje who is a Co-Chair of the National Campaign Council assured the party of landslide victory but also recommended reconciliation as a tool for it’s successful execution of it’s mandate.
“Our national chairman, we want to assure you that we will work day and night. We will be committed. Some of us have already started behind the scene. One important issue about Osun election is reconciliation. Internal dynamics of the party is very important.”
The Campaign Council is Chaired by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
