The Lagos State government has assured Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially young entrepreneurs, of its commitment to ease of doing business in the state.

Speaking at the opening of the Lagos Tourism/Naija Brand Chick (NBC) Trade Fair in Ikeja, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Idris Aregbe, reiterated the Sanwo-Olu administration’s resolve to harness the state’s tourism and entertainment potential and grow its economy through collaboration with the private sector.

Aregbe noted that the state targets N5 billion in sales at the three-day fair and described the partnership with other sponsors as a huge success for MSMEs.

“This is about growing our economy, it is about expanding the scope of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture – showing that we are not just about music, arts, and dance. We are now in the serious business of forming strategic alliances with key partners and brands,” Aregbe said.

The convener of the NBC Trade Fair, Mrs Nelly Agbogu, thanked the Lagos State government for supporting MSMEs and expressed excitement that traders at the fair were generating millions in sales despite the economic downturn.
