Inibehe regains freedom after 30 days in prison

Human Rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, today, Friday, regained his freedom after spending 30 days in Uyo prison, in Akwa Ibom state.

Effiong was sent to prison on July 27 by Ekaette Obot, chief judge of Akwa Ibom state, after the lawyer protested against the presence of armed policemen in court.

Effiong was in court to defend Leo Ekpenyong, a lawyer, in a libel suit filed by Udom Emmanuel, governor of Akwa Ibom.
