Resident of Lagos state today, Sunday, observed the car-free day which was done in collaboration with a non-government organisation, Lagos Urban Development Initiative.
Many outdoor activities were carried out in the Ikeja area of state to commemorate the day, among which include cycling, skating and tug of war, which some schoolchildren and even adults participated in.
According to the organisers, the aim of the event was to encourage motorists to set aside their cars for a day and take up active and inclusive means of transport such as cycling and walking.
