In Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, the Yar-Dole motorcycle market was destroyed by a raging fire, causing chaos.

It was gathered that the incident, which happened on Saturday evening, left traders and residents in shock as several shops and stalls were burnt uncontrollably.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire, whose cause could not yet be ascertained, spread rapidly through the market, which is a major hub for motorcycles and spare parts in the state.

“We don’t know the cause of the fire; we just noticed flames from the motorcycle shops, but the fire service is still battling to put it out,” an eyewitness told reporters.

Many traders and shop owners were said to be frantically attempting to salvage their goods but could not due to the rage of the fire.

Meanwhile, emergency responders from the Zamfara State Fire Service were said to have arrived at the scene shortly after the fire was reported and worked to contain the inferno.
