A family of five in Imo state has been wiped out after drinking tea contaminated with wall gecko.
According to a social media post on Sunday, the family had boiled water for tea in a kettle, not aware that a walk gecko had died inside the container
The post reads- “Most people tend to ignore the ubiquitous wall gecko, which they usually say is harmless and does not bother anybody.
“These things are poisonous, learn to check your utensils before using.
“Family of 5 In Imo state, The Eastern part of Nigeria has been wiped out today by wall geckos,
“It is reported that they actually boiled water with a kettle, unknown to them there is a wall gecko which fell inside…. They boiled, drank tea and all died instantly,” the poster said
