Eid el-Kabir: Police Commissioner orders deployment of security to prayer grounds, event centres in Benue

The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, Mr. Wale Abass, has ordered the deployment of police officers across to create an enabling environment for the peaceful celebration of Eid-el Kabir.

A statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, said police officers have been deployed to provide security at all Muslim prayer grounds, event centres and all routes within the State during the celebration.

The commissioner called on the Benue people to be law-abiding and report suspicious activities to the Police.
He cautioned that the command will not tolerate any attempt to break law and order in the state.

He expressed his felicitation with Muslim faithful in the state and urged them to be security conscious and call the command’s emergency phone numbers if they notice any suspicious persons or movements.
