After a few minutes of break by the Justices, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal is back in session for the pre-hearing of the Petition filed by the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the February 25, 2023 Election, Atiku Abubakar, against the fraudulent declaration of the APC and it’s Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The lead counsel for the PDP and its Candidate is Chris Uche, SAN. He is in court with more than 20 other SANs.
While outlining and adopting the petition filed by the PDP and its Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the PDP lead Counsel, Chris Uche, SAN, informed the court of its application for the permission of the court to televise the hearing “LIVE” on national television and other news media. He described the application as very important and begged the Lord Justices to intervene with the urgency it required.
Other parties in the case have not responded to the application and the court is yet to decide on the matter. (Live Transmission of Court hearings).
