J’odie – Kuchi Kuchi Crooner, the Coordinator of Chinua Children Care Foundation has called out to Nigerians for financial support to empower more mothers with special-needs children in Abuja.
The veteran musician, Jodie, has recently engaged in an outreach program for special mothers at Iyana Ipaja, Lagos and Sango in Ogun state.
In a statement made available to our correspondent, J’odie said the third batch is set to happen today at Kado Kuchi in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
She said the outreach program in these three states is targeted to celebrate, empower and encourage mothers with special-needs children – a highly marginalized group in the society
According to the statement, “The budget for the holiday outreach was raised by Nigerians in the diaspora, coordinated by Tolu and Udo.
“Bags, containing: rice, seasoning cubes, vegetable oil, tomato paste and N5,000 cash were distributed to 87 special mothers each.
“What started as a social media outburst has evolved into a movement of hope, empowerment and care for humanity.”
J’odie said the goal of the Chinua Foundation is to ensure that every state in Nigeria has world-class facilities for special-needs children to give special mothers a fighting chance in life.
