On Friday night, two inhabitants of the Kware community in Sokoto State were killed in a violent raid by suspected bandits.
The attack, which saw the assailants shooting sporadically, claimed the lives of Shamsu Na Alje and Ya’u Na Dudu.
The incident was reported by Bakatsine, a security analyst, via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
According to the post, the armed men stormed the community late in the night, causing panic among residents.
“Yesterday night, bandits stormed the Kware community, shooting sporadically; they killed two people, namely Shamsu Na Alje and Ya’u Na Dudu,” the post read.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities in Sokoto State have yet to issue an official statement regarding the attack.
