Allen Onyema, the CEO of Air Peace, has petitioned the federal government to assist in the dismissal of many charges against aviation industry participants.
Onyema made this appeal while addressing state house correspondents after a meeting with Vice-President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday in Abuja.
He expressed confidence that the present administration would listen to the stakeholders’ demands.
According to him, since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, the aviation sector has been a turbulent arena.
“Aviation all over the world has been a turbulent arena after the COVID-19 pandemic because of the supply chain issues.
“This is not peculiar to Nigeria, but the Nigerian government is listening to us and making sure the ease of doing business in the sector is back.
“We are here to also thank the government because they have been giving us listening ears and we want more of that to make sure all those numerous charges we face are removed, and we have every confidence that the government will do something about it.
“I have just had a session with the Vice-President and everything he said is that the government is actually promoting the ease of doing business,” he said.
