Officers and men of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service, NHFSS, Sunday night, arrested three kidnappers and armed robbers in Anambra State.
The criminals were detected and arrested by the NHFSS State Commander and his team during night patrol at about 1am after they had finished operation in the midnight and were about to escape.
According to a report sent through SMS by the Anambra State Command to the Deputy Commander General of NHFSS in charge of Technical Services, Amb John Metchie, a copy of which Nationwide Reports saw Monday, the kidnappers were arrested at Umuabani village in Neni, Anaocha LGA of Anambra state.
Items recovered from them include a stolen tricycle (Keke), one English pistol, one local pistol, bullets, magazine, Android phone and wristwatch.
The arrested hoodlums have been handed over to the Police for prosecution.
The message said- “DCG sir, these three *notorious kidnappers, armed robbers* were apprehend by the NHFSS Anambra State Commander and his men on night patrol, at about 1AM yesterday Sunday *16th July, 2023.*_
_They just finished their evil operation that night in Awka, Awka South LGA, where they robbed and stole the tricycle (Keke) from someone._
_They were apprehended at *Umuabani Village,* Neni, Anaocha LGA._
_Items recovered from them are;_
1. One English pistol.
2. One local Pistol
3. Bullets
4. Magazine
5. Android phones
6. Wrist watch
_They were handed over to the police for further investigations.”
