Air Traffic Controller Slumps, Dies in Lagos

Tragedy struck at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos today, Monday, when an air traffic controller, Aniekan Inuk Effiong slumped and died while on duty.

He was said to have slumped at the approach radar of the Lagos airport.

It was also said that when he slumped, it was difficult to rush him to hospital because of vehicular restrictions to the Total Radar Coverage of Nigeria, TRACON site.

The deceased, in his 40s, was an official of the Nigerian Airspace Management Authority, NAMA.
