The competition to sign defender Emmanuel Ogbuagu is being led by Abia Warriors of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Reports says, Ogbuagu is also wanted by Shooting Stars, Enyimba, Katsina United and Plateau United.
Abia Warriors are understood to have shown concrete interest in the player.
Ogbuagu turned down the chance to extend his contract with Sunshine Stars.
He registered two goals for the Owena Waves last season.
Ogbuagu’s move is expected to be finalised before the end of the week.
