The Central Bank of Nigeria has bowed to pressure and extended the deadline for the exchange of old naira notes by 10 days.
Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele made this available in a press statement today Sunday following the outburst of Nigerians on the non availability of the new notes in the commercial banks prior to expiration date of 31st January.
The CBN Governor said the new deadline is February 10, 2023.
Earlier, Nigerians have poured out their minds on the short time given by the CBN for the notes exchanged.
