The management and students of Niger Delta University located at Wilberforce Island Bayelsa State are in shock and mourning following a tragic accident Saturday night that killed the Dean, Student’s Affairs Division, Dr. Ayason.
Dr. Ayason was said to be alone in the car while driving to Amassoma when the accident happened. His body was also burnt when the car bursted into flames.
Attempts by good spirited passersby to rescue him failed as he was already dead before their arrival.
Emma Amaegbe, the Personal Assistant to the Vice Chancellor who confirmed the ugly incident exclusively to NationWide said the development was not only shocking but devastating to the management, staff and students of the university as well as the entire university community.
He prayed God to grant Dr. Ayason’s soul a peaceful rest.
