The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mallam Muhammad Bello, has approved the appointment of Tpl. Nasir Sulaiman, as the new director of Resettlement and Compensation, Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA.
A statement by Mrs. Felicia Okoro, PRO of the department, said the new director succeeds Mrs. Perpetua Ohammah, who retired from service on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, having served the mandatory 35 years.
Suleiman is, however, expected to hold the position in acting capacity pending his confirmation as substantive director of the department.
Until his new appointment, Suleiman was a deputy director, planning and resettlement in the department.
Speaking at a brief handover ceremony, the outgoing director, Ohammah, commended the staff for their cooperation and contribution during her time in office.
Ohammah, who said she was leaving service a fulfilled person, enjoined the staff to continue to work relentlessly to ensure that the department delivers on its mandate.
The change of guard was witnessed by the director, Human Resources Management, FCDA, Alhaji Aminu Aliyu, as well as the director of Special Duties in the executive secretary’s office, Arc Celestine Eze.
