Rwanda’s Salima emerges first African woman to officiate at FIFA men World Cup

FIFA has appointed Salima Mukansanga, a Rwandan, to officiate at the World Cup in Qatar.

By the appointment, Salima has become the first African woman in the history of the World Cup to referee at the men’s FIFA World Cup.

Earlier this year at the African Cup of Nations Tournament in Cameroon, She became the first woman to officiate at the African Cup of Nations and also the first African woman to referee at the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
