Benue health insurance agency enrolls over 40,000 beneficiaries

Benue State Health Insurance Agency, BSHIA, has enrolled over 40,000 beneficiaries into it health insurance scheme in the state.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Kenneth Korve, who spoke in Makurdi, said the beneficiaries are enrolled in the 276 accredited primary healthcare facilities spread across the state.

He said, in each of the primary health center, about 150 beneficiaries were registered to access healthcare services in such communities.

“The Agency was focused and committed to securing unlimited health coverage as well as adequate and affordable healthcare in the state.

“The Agency will also facilitate an easy and stress – free healthcare financing through mobilizing, pooling and judicious utilization of financial resources to provide financial protection to the people”.

Dr. Korve, commended Governor Samuel Ortom for the support given to the Agency so far and urged Benue people of all strata to key into the programme.
