Four countries, including Nigeria’s Super Eagles, secured their spots in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) on Thursday without playing a single game.
The likes of Gabon, South Africa and Uganda also booked their places in Morocco after results in their respective groups went their way.
Tunisia scored a 93rd-minute winner to beat Madagascar 3-2 away and book their place at the finals for a record-extending 17th time.
Libya’s 1-0 win in Rwanda guarantees Nigeria a top-two finish in Group D.
The Super Eagles eventually played 1-1 with Benin Republic to confirm their place as Group D winners.
However, AFCON holders Ivory Coast have since booked their place in Morocco.
The likes of Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Angola, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Morocco, and Senegal in the finals.
More spots will be confirmed in the coming days.
