The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chapter in Bauchi State has urged the federal government to provide more palliative care and other forms of financial assistance to ease the suffering that Nigerians are now experiencing.

This was part of the recommendations of the party after its stakeholders meeting held on Saturday.

Those who attended the meeting include Senator Shehu Buba (representing Bauchi South), Health and Social Welfare Minister, Prof. Ali Pate, Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, former Governor Isa Yuguda, and House of Representatives members from Bauchi State.

Other attendees included current and former members of the State House of Assembly, former party chairpersons, and Abubakar Sadique, who represented former governorship candidates.

The communiqué, signed by the State APC Chairman, Muhammad Hassan, stated,“ Amidst the current hardship in the country, we urge the Federal Government to intensify efforts to alleviate citizens’ suffering. We also encourage citizens to continue praying for our leaders to fulfil their mandates.”

Also, the APC urged the Federal Government to restart and complete the Bauchi-Gombe Oil Project, which it emphasized would be beneficial for the entire region.

The Party also recommended that all palliatives allocated to Bauchi State be distributed through its elected or appointed representatives from the state.

It also resolved to establish disciplinary measures within the Party to hold members accountable, ensuring justice, equity, and fairness in upcoming congresses, primaries, and general elections.

Finally, the Bauchi APC expressed unanimous support for President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda and for the two ministers representing Bauchi State in his administration.
