Habib Salau, a student at Akoko Anglican Grammar School in Arigidi-Akoko, Akoko North West Local Government Area, Ondo State, was fatally stabbed while in her senior secondary school on Wednesday, during a fight, Sandra, another female student at the school, stabbed Habib.
According to sources, the incident happened shortly after closing hours outside the school premises.
One of the sources who craved anonymity stated that upon her arrest, Sandra confessed that the knife she used to stab Salau was gotten through a student of Ajiroke Technical School.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s body has been deposited at the mortuary of the State Specialist Hospital, Ikare-Akoko.
The Commissioner for Police in the state, Abayomi Oladipo, confirmed that the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department, adding that a diligent investigation would be conducted.
