The Federal Capital Territory police command has retrieved a Toyota Corolla with the registration number ABC 258 LD that was allegedly taken at gunpoint in the nation’s capital.
The car was found on Saturday, August 17, after the police tracked it down. It was reported stolen on May 2 along Kuje-airport Road.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh made the revelation in a statement she issued on Sunday.
She stated that the suspected armed robber, Micheal Uke, was arrested when the vehicle was tracked to one Ifego Guest Inn in the Jabi area of Abuja.
The PPRO stated that “the suspect had replaced the registration number on the vehicle with another, reading REG NO: AGD 146 JP. During the search, one (1) POS machine, one (1) knife, glass dissolving chemicals, one (1) military jungle hat, and the original REG NO. of the vehicle were discovered in his possession”.
