In their first meeting of the 2024–25 season, Getafe defeated Athletico Bilbao 1–1, with Nigerian forward Chrisantus Uche scoring on his LaLiga debut.
Oihan Sancet gave Athletico Bilbao the lead three minutes before the half-hour mark.
Uche, however, rescued a point for his side in the 64th minute.
The 21-year-old was in action for the entire duration of the game.
The forward joined Getafe from the Spanish third-division club Cueta this summer.
Jose Bordalos’ side will host Rayo Vallecano in their next league game.
