Gareth Southgate, the manager of England, stated that his greatest coaching accomplishment to date was getting the squad to their first major event final played abroad.
Ollie Watkins came off the bench to score a 90th-minute winner, as the Three Lions came from behind to defeat the Netherlands 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Southgate’s men will now face Spain in the final in Berlin on Sunday.
During his time in charge, Southgate has now guided England to a quarter-final, a semi-final, and two finals in four tournaments.
When asked where he placed the victory over the Dutch in his eight-year tenure, Southgate told ITV: “Yeah, I think it has to be the best.
“It’s another landmark, but the way that we played as well, we played so well throughout the game.”
