The Lagos state police command have debunked claim by one Benjamin Killaboi that he killed his girlfriend Augusta Osefion by mistake during a Lovers fight.
It would recalled that Benjamin who went into hiding after killing the 21 year old social media influencer, had taken to his Instagram handle to confession stabbing her to death but said was a mistake triggered by anger.
Benjamin also announced his intention to surrender himself to the authorities and threatened he would take his own life.
According to Superintendent of Police Benjamin Hundeyin who narrated what truly happened, the victim’s mother, Mrs. Cordelia, reported to the police on July 15th, 2023, that her daughter had been involved in a quarrel with her boyfriend on July 11th. Despite her attempts to reconcile them, she was unable to establish contact with either of the two afterwards.
Worried Mrs. Cordelia managed to reach Augusta’s roommate, who agreed to accompany her and the police to Benjamin’s residence in Oral Estate, Ikota, Ajah. When they got there, Augusta’s vehicle was parked outside the house, but the door was locked.
They called the police, who promptly arrived at the scene and forcefully broke down the door and saw Augusta’s lifeless body inside the residence. The police confirmed that her private parts had been cut off.
