Suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has been released by the Department of State Security, DSS.
Emefiele was suspended from office late Friday by President Bola Tinubu and subsequently arrested by the DSS moments after his suspension.
Tinubu also appointed Mr Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi as the acting Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, in replacement for Emefiele.
Security sources however told Nationwide Reports minutes ago that Emefiele has been freed and allowed to go home after he was questioned on some undisclosed issues
