Tinubu takes oath of office, becomes 16th elected President of Nigeria

Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, has been sworn in as the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

Before Tinubu was sworn in, his Vice, Senator Kashim Shettima took oath of office in company of his wife.

The ceremony which took place at the Eagles Square, Central Business District, Abuja was witnessed by former President Muhammadu Buhari who was ushered into the venue by the Guards Brigade.

Also at the venue of the programme were former president Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience, former president Olusegun Obasanjo, former Heads of State, Gen. General Yakubu Gowon and General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Presidents and Heads of State of several countries across the world are also seated at the venue of the programme
