Supporters of the president-elect, under the aegis of Tinubu Faithful Group, TFG, have called for total support for the re-election of the incumbent Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Saturday’s governorship election.
National Coordinator of the group, Hon. Olusola Orelaja, in a statement signed by its Deputy Media Coordinator, Comrade Frederick Idehai, said after ensuring the victory of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, at the presidential poll, the group has redirected its energy to ensure a landslide victory for Sanwo-Olu.
While expressing displeasure over the attitude of some Lagosians which led to the APC candidate losing the state during the presidential poll “to a relatively unpopular political party like Labour Party, Orelaja called for comprehensive soul searching.
He noted that his support group has already commenced an aggressive door-to-door campaign for March 11 poll, urging all legible voters in the state to come out en masse to defend their already threatened roots through the ballot by voting for Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He however, reminded the electorate of the enormous developmental strides recorded by the Lagos State Governor, even in the face of global economic challenges as a result of the 2020 Corona Virus Pandemic, Covid-19, which need to be consolidated for the good and progress of all.
The TFG National Coordinator, further assured the president-elect, the Lagos State governor and other stakeholders of the availability of the Tinubu Faithful Group, a grassroots platform with huge presence in twenty-eight states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT for their political partnership for the overall interest of the nation.
