The Director of Election Management, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Campaign Organization, Professor Iyorwuese Hagher, has stated that the assurance of PDP’s victory by the G-5 governors in Benue and in all their states has proven that the PDP is not divided but dynamic.
Recall that when the PDP flagged off of campaign in Benue on Monday, the G-5 governors, Nyeson Wike, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Okezie Ikpeazu, Seyi Makinde and the host, Samuel Ortom as well as the National chairman of the party, Dr lyorchia Ayu, represented by his deputy, Ambassador Umar Damagum, were all present and assured that they will ensure that PDP win all elective positions in the state from bottom to top.
Hagher, in a statement made available to journalists in Makurdi, said their gathering was a sign that the party was indivisible, strong enough to absolve internal shocks and ready to clinch power come 2023.
Professor Hagher said contrary to the impressions by the public that Governor Ortom is pulling down the PDP house, Ortom has demonstrated a firm grasp of the Benue grassroots politics
“Ortom has been campaigning for an active presidency who ought to be less a Fulani irredentist like Buhari and more of a Pan-Nigerian President in whose political veins, flow Fulani, Yoruba, Igbo, Tiv and other bloods.”
While assuring that the PDP will continue to grow from strength to strength, Hagher said they will nail the APC’s coffin in Benue come 2023.
He expressed happiness that Governor Ortom is contesting to go the National Assembly saying the election of fearless legislators like him will put an end to a tame, tepid, corrupt and compromised legislature.
