2023: NNPP Mobilize Benue Youths for victory

The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has called on the youths in Benue to rise up and support it party to win elections in the forthcoming general elections come 2023.

State Deputy Chairman of the party, Mr Joseph Orkum stated this while addressing Benue youths at the party secretariat in Makurdi.

Orkum who noted that NNPP is ready and willing to offer solution to the problems affecting the country, said they will work with Nigerians, especially the youth, to proffer solutions to issues of insecurity, poverty, unemployment poor management of economic resources that that has given birth to youth restiveness, kidnapping, banditry, farmers/herders crisis and other social vices claiming the lives of the people.

He named the poor state of the economy evident in high exchange rate of dollar to naira among other issues saying they are testimonies that the present government has failed to deliver dividends to Nigerians.

While lamenting that the youths who are supposed leaders are rather used as political thugs to the determine of the political leaders, Orkum said “I have confidence in the leadership of our great party, NNPP, will work to salvage the plight of our people come 2023.

He said the choice of a renowned Bishop as vice presidential candidate and choice of a woman, Mrs Comfort Ogbaji as running mate to the governorship candidate, Mr Bem Angwe, is a testimony that NNPP is a party for all.

He encouraged Nigerian youth to support NNPP to win the 2023 elections saying ” this time, under NNPP, you will lead us to the promise land with your PVCs as good citizens and not as thugs.”

The state youth coordinator, Mr George Iber, who disclosed that NNPP is embarking on aggressive youth mobilization across the 23 local government areas of Benue said it is essential to engage young people in formal politics.

He said “It is not only a fundamental, political and democratic right but also crucial to building a stable and peaceful society and development of policies that respond to specific needs of younger generations.

“We are taking advantage of the Kwankwasiyya movement which cuts across the country to ensure that not only our voice is heard but our presence is also felt. We the youths have taken it upon ourselves to work for our beloved country and create a new Nigeria.”
